On December 25, people all around the world will take a break to be with friends and family, to forget the strife of the busy workday grind, the frustrations of Covid, the economic struggles that have become so common this year, in order to share a meal, a good time, perhaps to exchange gifts, but most of all to just be together. Christmas is one of the oldest Christian traditions, celebrating the birth of Christ. But today it is arguably celebrated by almost as many non-Christians who enjoy its traditions and the happiness they bring. And that is perhaps the greatest gift of the Christmas season – that we are all drawn together, if only for a brief time, united in the brotherhood of humanity. This Christmas, whether it’s “your” holiday or not, join with the millions of others around the world who will help make this a special day by celebrating the spirit of Christmas.
